Initially I went to Art College, studied Textile Design and worked for several years as a Textile Designer.

I then re-trained at Greenwich University as a Garden Designer/Gardener.

 

A few years ago, I started mixing the creativity from both my careers, and have created artworks that use pressed flowers and paint.

I like to press wildflowers mainly and try to take them where there is an abundance of plants so that I do not remove food for foraging insects.

​

I greatly enjoy the process of pressing the flowers, and do not mind if they are not ‘perfect’ once fully pressed, as in nature things are never that perfect (as in life!).

 

All artwork/painting is water-based on paper, I have used mainly acrylic paints, and some crayons.
