Blackbirds

The flowing stems criss-cross this Pressed Flower Artwork. The textured background adds depth to this work, and the branch-like stems were painted lightly to help the flow of the stems. A mixture of the wildflower 'Cuckoo flower/Cardamine pratensis' and Phlox fly around and create a rhythm and movement, with the two blackbirds stationary in their positions ready to grab a mouthful of treats.
